Why is hydration important in sports?

Exercise leads to an increase in your core body temperature, so your body sweats to cool you down and prevent overheating. Proper hydration replaces the water lost through sweat and helps you avoid cramping, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.


What causes a loss of electrolytes?

High-intensity exercise that causes excessive sweating, chronic sickness, or an upset stomach all lead to the loss of electrolytes. It’s important you replace them quickly and sufficiently to avoid adverse side effects!


When should I use hydration supplements?

Everyday! Constantly monitoring your hydration level ensures you are ready to go at any time. Ideally, you should focus on hydration pre-workout, throughout your workout, and immediately after.
