The Science

AN ENDURANCE PERFORMANCE REVOLUTION

Endurance FuelIng

MORE CARBS MEANS MORE DISTANCE

The BETA Fuel range is scientifically superior. We have created an optimized 1:0.8 ratio of maltodextrin to fructose, meaning you can digest up to 120g of carbs per hour during endurance events, hitting the recommended amount with ease.

ASK A BETA FUEL EXPERT

What is BETA Fuel?

Any athlete who takes part in an event lasting more than two hours should take in between 90 and 120g of carbs per hour.

Our revolutionary BETA range has been specifically formulated to provide maximum dual-source energy in a tried and tested 1:0.8 ratio. You’ll not only hit your carb targets but also enhance power output, increase your carbohydrate usage efficiency, and limit GI discomfort.

What's the difference between BETA Fuel and GO Energy?

BETA Fuel Energy Gels = 40g of carbs in a single serving.
GO Isotonic Energy Gels = 22g of carbs per serving.

Each gel serves a unique purpose, but the BETA range was created specifically to help out endurance athletes - those who participate in events lasting longer than two hours.

Should I use a BETA Fuel Gel, Drink or Chew?

The BETA range is designed to be mixed and matched, so your fueling stays flexible. Remove the repetitiveness of carb intake and hit your hourly targets while keeping it interesting. Ideal for marathons, triathlons, and long-distance cycling events.

BETA Fuel Gels deliver 40g of carbohydrate in an easy-to-consume format, while BETA Fuel 80 delivers 80g in a single, convenient isotonic fueling solution.

The BETA Fuel Energy Chew delivers 46g when consumed in one go, or can be broken into individual chews, with each chew containing approximately 7g.

What's the difference between BETA Recovery and REGO Rapid Recovery?

BETA Recovery is a unique blend that brings together carbohydrates and protein in one delicious shake. It’s formulated to support endurance athletes with a complete recovery solution, so they are fully recovered and ready for their next session.

After a hard session, your muscles and liver will be depleted and need energy. Fructose helps refill liver glycogen, while maltodextrin goes straight to your muscles to replenish the stores there. BETA Recovery also includes dual source carbohydrates (maltodextrin + fructose in a 1:1 ratio) to rapidly replenish both liver and muscle glycogen stores.

BETA Recovery includes 30g of whey protein (vs 20g of soy protein in REGO Rapid), which provides the amino acids needed to promote muscle repair and maintenance post-exercise.
