Formerly Team Sky, the INEOS Grenadiers is a British professional cycling team originally established in 2010 with the intention of winning the Tour de France with a British rider within five years. Bradley Wiggins achieved it in two, becoming the first British rider ever to do so. Since then, fellow British riders Chris Froome, who came in second in 2012 as Wiggins’ domestique, went on to win it again for the Grenadiers in 2013, 15, 16 & 17. To cement the success of the team Geraint Thomas and Egan Bernal won in 2017 & 2018 respectively. In doing so they cemented the INEOS Grenadiers as one of the most successful teams in world cycling.
