ACHIEVEMENTS/ Neil McNab is one of Britain’s most highly qualified and successful Freeride Snowboarders and one of the only Professional Snowboarders to hold both the (UIAGM) ‘High Mountain Guides’ qualification and the (ISIA) International ‘Ski and Snowboard’ Teaching diplomas. Neil was 4 times Overall British snowboard champion From 93 – 96, a top 16 World Cup finalist and team captain for the Nagano Olympics in 98. Since 98 Neil has focused on Freeride Snowboarding, sponsored by Salomon, The North Face, Ortovox and SiS and is widely regarded as Britain’s leading Backcountry expert. Since 1995 Neil has run his own Specialist Snowboard training company www.mcnabsnowboarding.com teaching people ‘the Fine Art of riding down Mountains’.

Neil was awarded the PSI ‘Denali mountaineer of the year’ award in 2004 for the brave rescue of a fallen Korean climber high on Mount McKinley. In 2008 he was further awarded the American citizens ‘medal of honor’ for this same event.

As a rock climber Neil has on-sighted F8a+ and bouldering flashed Fb7c+.

Neil is a BASI 1 skier and an accomplished Freeride skier and Backcountry Ski guide.
